Another wonderful breakfast provided by our lodge and we headed for Big Mountain Resort at 9:55a.
It was about an hour drive to the mountain and we checked in with the information desk about our Walk in the Treetops adventure for Saturday and everything is ready to go. Just show up 20 minutes early and meet in the lobby's circle for our guide.
Kids' activities were plentiful!
We bought tickets for the chair lift and headed for the summit at 7,000'. Melodie was a bit uneasy since she's only been forced on a chair lift one other time when we were going to the summit of Whistler Mt. in British Columbia outside Vancouver. Once on the chair, she was thrilled with the ride and the fact that they would stop the chair for loading and unloading which was her biggest fear...to hop her shortness onto the chair as it kept moving. The cooler summit air was refreshing and we took our smoky vista view pictures even though the fires affected them drastically.

We had a big lunch of a shared bison burger and a huge side salad since we plan to have our PBJ for dinner.
Hiking and biking on Big Mountain are enjoyed by young and old alike.
There's a wonderful Nature Display manned by a Park Ranger.

I'm just NOT a shopper and after an hour or so of shop after shop, I was ready to call it quits. I told Melodie to continue and I'd have a seat on the bench and wait for her but she decided she had had enough as well. We got back on Mt 93 towards Kalispell and returned to our lodge at 5:15p.
Popped some popcorn and had PBJ with Moscato wine for dinner and settled in for showers and blogging with photos. Tomorrow we will make the drive to Polebridge, Mt. and hopefully get to see some wolves and have dinner there.
